T-G-I-Funny!

It's not as much "ha-ha" funny, but more "what-the-heck-is-in-the-water?" funny...TWINS!!!!


I personally know three people that are expecting TWINS.. and other friend just had her TWINS a couple weeks ago. Come on.. this is funny, right? Or is it just wild??

I always wanted a twin... yes, my OWN twin. Her name was Candy or sometimes she was Katy (I wasn't all that creative) I used to read Sweet Valley Twins and would imagine all the hijinks we'd get into.

There's a Party in my Tummy.. so yummy!!

In a search to bring more nutritional and yummy snacks (yes, there IS such a thing!). I found a wonderful blog by a fabulous Vegan Mom. She has some great ideas and some delicious ones too! She also has some fabulous recipes on her side blog, Shmooed Food.

The three that I made recently are Full Meal Muffins, Fruit & Nut Bars (aka Shmooed Bars) and Banana Oatmeal Cookies. What is the best part of this all, is that NONE of these contain ANY sugar!! They're all natural and SOOOOO yummy (they have been given the LG approval!)

This was my second time making these and I threw in some fresh cut up apples instead of the dried Apricots! Yummmm

LG has started with this and The Hubby and I are trying our best to nip it in the bud before it gets worse. All I can see is a 13 year old LG and it scares me!

What goes around, comes around...

When Hubby and I started dating, one of our first "dates" was to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure. We had so much fun... and it was then that I really feel in love with him.. it might have been when he was running in the water play area or posing on the nest in Suess Landing... either way, I knew that he would make my life complete and filled our years with adventures. :)

So, Little Guy got to experience the magic of Universal a couple weekends ago... and it was so special to share that with him, like he was going back to where mommy and daddy started. :)

The Great Outdoors

I love to camp... I love to explore the wilderness, build fires, sleep in tents, go days without showers and even pee in the woods...it's the other "things" that I require a facility for... bad memories of bringing the shovel into the woods to dig a hole... bad memories.

Hubby and I took LG on his FIRST camping trip this past weekend... it was perfect! Weather was ideal (minus the rain and 50 degrees that we had on the last night) and we just enjoyed being together. LG did ask one time "Does camping have TV?" other than that, he just loved every minute of it... going on "invetures," getting dirty and looking for raccoons (none found, but Daddy did find an armadillo). What LG did not like was peeing in the woods! What? Isn't this what the male species LIVE FOR? He will learn to love it... I know!

TGIF!!!

This week has been rough.. LG started Monday morning with a 101.5 fever, by that evening, he was at 104.1! We spent the week pushing fluids, watching movies and trying to rest (the key word is trying)
We got through the week... I think I have a few hundred hair's less than I did a week ago... but we're healthy and happy...

Bag Tag

You can learn a lot about a woman from her bag... take my friend Jen at Another Online Mom, her bags says "I'm a woman in charge..and YES! I do have it in my bag.. let me check!"

She tagged me and well I'm happy to show you MY bag... and tell you the story about it (of course there's a story...)



My bag is a Kathy Van Zeeland. I have always loved her purses... they're so fun, funky and LARGE! Just what I look for in a purse!

Anyway, the story behind my purse is this... I carried another rather large, just as fun and funky (it was purple!!) purse for over a year. My mother bought it for me one a trip up to see her in Kentucky at a consignment store. It started to show some wear and I was ready to move on to a new bag, but which one??

I saw one that I LOVED at the Goodwill Boutique (Yes, it is just as awesome as it sounds!!) and told Hubby about it.. that was ALL I wanted for Christmas.
But.. alas, when he went it was gone :(
*sniff*sniff*

I kept on searching for the perfect bag, and then one day last month, at the above mentioned store, there was my new baby! Looking just as perfect as she would if I would have bought her new.. she was shiny.. she had outside pockets (cell phone!).. she had inside pockets (emgerncry mints!) and a loop to clip my keys to!! She was perfect!! And with out the hefty "new" price tag!
I paid a mere $35 for my new baby!

Fabulous, right??
